Andrea Lutz - Personal Biography
Andrea Lutz has been actively engaged in the practice of yoga for over 25 years. After many years of studying different traditions, she became a dedicated practitioner of Ashtanga yoga in 1997. She has trained all over the world with many renowned instructors and is a long-time student of Manju Jois and Nancy Gilgoff, both of whom she has assisted in workshops and intensives. In 2009, Manju Jois authorized Andrea to teach primary and intermediate series.
Andrea had been teaching yoga and dance for nearly a decade before committing herself in 2003 to teaching traditional Ashtanga yoga. In 2005, she founded the Ashtanga Studio Berlin where she teaches daily Mysore classes. She gives workshops and trainings all over Germany and Europe.
In addition to her ongoing studies of yoga, she has gained a thorough background and deep insights in physical therapy, massage therapies and anatomical studies. During her time as a dancer, she developed her own artistic work.
Andrea's love and passion for the practice and teaching of traditional Ashtanga yoga has steadily increased over the years. She is thankful for all the teachers she has met along the way. She gives special thanks to Manju Jois for his ongoing teaching and support, and to Nancy Gilgoff for her love and dedication to the practice of Ashtanga yoga.
