6. You are invited to the premiere of GURU, a film by Robert Wilkins
Sunday 5th March 2006, 10:45am for 11am screening at Rio Cinema, 107 Kingsland High Street, London E8 2PB. T: 020 7241 9410, www.riocinema.org.uk. Entry £4 to help cover costs. Please support this grass roots initiative. About the film: The Indians have found an answer in the guru system. Put trust in the guru (once you have found the right one!) and he/she will take you on a journey—of transformation—from darkness into light. This film offers never-before-seen insights into the life of 90-year-old Ashtanga Yoga guru Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Film-maker Robert Wilkins travelled to Mysore, India for Sri K. Pattabhi Jois's 90th birthday celebrations in July 2005. Students descended from all over the world for this special event. Running time: 30 min.

7. Mysore Style Book - Launching during Guruji's Tour in London on 6th March
Photographer Graeme Montgomery, art director Giles Kershaw and stylist/illustrator Mark Whitaker documented the occasion of Guruji's 90th birthday and photographed the incredible mix of yogis who had gathered in Mysore. Mysore Style is a 220 page coffee table style book featuring 170 color and B&W photographs; contributions from students and teachers including John Scott, Lino Miele, David Swenson, Hamish Hendry, David Life and Sharon Gannon. Books will be for sale at Guruji's London workshop and through www.mysorestyle.com. All profits from book sales will be donated to the Sri K. Pattabhi Jois Charitable Trust.
