7. Announcement for Mysore Assistants & Led Primary Series Teachers
Assisting Program: New York-based Yoga Sutra (www.yogasutranyc.com) welcomes applications and inquiries regarding a new Assisting Program within the Mysore-style Ashtanga department. Assistants must have at least five years experience of daily Mysore-style Ashtanga yoga practice, a steady Primary Series, and working practice of Intermediate Series. The Assisting program requires a commitment of regular assisting and training schedule beyond a personal daily practice. A written commitment of at least one year (preferably two years) within the program is required. Led Primary Series Teachers: New York-based Yoga Sutra (www.yogasutranyc.com) is looking for experienced teachers of Led Primary Series. Teachers must have at least five years daily practice in the traditional Ashtanga method with a recognized senior teacher. Applicants are further required to have at least one year of experience teaching led classes in a formal setting. Applicants will need to teach a demonstration class, calling the vinyasa and asana with familiarity and ease. Teachers must also be open and able to field questions from students and integrate critical feedback from senior teachers and directors of the center. Interested applicants should email a cover letter, resume, and references to Yoga Sutra, attention Maria (info@yogasutranyc.com).
